Hello, Goodbye

"Duceppe joins race for PQ leadership" May 12, 2007

And so it ends. To the PQ: Gilles Duceppe, we hardly knew ye. And to the BQ: meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
In what may be the shortest leadership run in Canadian history, Gilles Duceppe dropped out of the PQ race, essentially handing the reins to Pauline Marois (herself a 2-time loser of said race). Mario Dumont must be smiling broadly at this evolving gong show. I know I am.

And in the spirit of the occasion, a warm Happy Mother's Day to all moms, and to one in particular. She is much loved.

I'm so disappointed. I was really looking forward to Marc-Boris St-Maurice running for the Libs in Laurier-Sainte-Marie, but I guess now we'll have to wait until the next election.

Hah! Yes, it certainly would have been fodder for the BT's, wouldn't it? I can only imagine Dr. Roy's outrage...

Ugh, Dr. Roy.

I think Duceppe is going to feel Harper's boot in QP this week, but because Harper goes over the top, he'll make comments that will move all Quebecers away from the CPC.

Okay, that's my wish, but optimism is good, :).
