Wajid Khan Is Sleazy....I'm Shocked.

Is anyone out there particularly surprised that Wajid Khan was today charged with illegal election spending by the Elections Commissioner? Yes, Khan was a member of the Liberal Party at the time. But he has since crossed the floor and has found a happy home in the CPC, where we all still await his magical mid-east report.

Said Stephen Harper of the accused,
"The more we worked together, the more both of us began to realize that, politically, we have an awful lot in common...In time, it became clear to me that Mr. Khan would be quite at home in the Conservative Party."
Indeed.

Yes he was a Liberal. With a Liberal campaign manager and taking advice from the Liberal Party of Canada. This should be interesting.

Old, but accurate.

Anon @ 8:54 - Are you somehow implying that the LPC instructed Khan to spend illegally in his riding? If so, that's quite an absurd position to take.

The G&M was correct that if Khan is found guilty it will be a an embarassment for both the Libs and the CPC. But probably only a minor hiccup for the Libs, who shed no tears when Khan crossed the floor. In fact I suspect that most Liberals were quite happy to see the back end of Khan as he left the party, since he was already working as a de facto "advisor" to Harper. It's also an embarassment to Harpo, who welcomed this assclown into his party with open arms, and tales of their political kinship.

Didn't Harper's people do a check on Khan before accepting him? Or, was Harper so intent on making Liberals look bad - he blew it.

The Cons got Kahn'd alright.

Love the video!

I bought my Mazda Protege from Wajid Khan. I was drawn in by his witty banter with Gord Stellick on the Fan 590.

Maybe Khan should have stuck to selling cars....

Great video clip...great movie. Wajid Khan will be the Grewal of this parliament, he'll sit quietly as an independent and then get removed either by a decision to "retire" from politics or from electoral defeat. Its a pretty safe Liberal seat anyways, scandal or no scandal.

Sleazebag car salesman Khan and Harpo... birds of the same feather; they deserve one another. Was Khan's mid-east assignment including a side trip to his native Pakistan and the mysterious "for Harpo's eyes only" reoprt all at Canadian tax payers money? I hope the Canadian voters will boot this yes-man for Bush and his arrogant band out of office in the next election.

RC - Yep, I met the man himself and negotiated the purchase of my first car. This was 7 years ago, though, so it was before he developed an expertise in Middle East affairs and became a politician :)

Khaaaaaannnn!!!!!

Good riddence to bad rubbish! So now the world can see the lying dog for what he is.

I wish I had been able to convince Mary Walsh to don her Marg the Barbarian Princess persona one more time and have a go at him in the Parliament building.

WELCOME TO CANADIAN POLITICS YOU BARKING PILE OF DOG CRAP!

I look forward to hearing of your prison sentence. No solitary confinement protections for you. Enjoy the shower!
