"Smiling Confident Bonds in Court", proclaims the Toronto Star. Now, I'm no artist, and I don't mean to nitpick, but seriously. I don't like Barry Bonds, and even I feel bad for the guy after seeing the way he was sketched. He looks like some kind of crystal meth inspired Stan Lee nightmare. Or maybe Roadblock from GI Joe (who coincidentally was probably also on steroids).

Interesting comparison. How on Earth did you remember Roadblock from GI Joe?
I have an incredible memory for useless things.
Ha! The Bonds/Roadblock resemblance is uncanny.
Do you really think Bonds was on steroids? Maybe he was just one of those guys who has a major growth spurt at age 35.
Seriously, I think the Hall of Fame should snub each of McGwire, Sosa and Bonds. Maris and Aaron are still the real record holders, in my view.
Whoops, sorry for the repeat comments RC. I really should stop posting after smoking crack
Bowler - It's truly wierd to look back at some pics of Bonds when he was with the Pirates. He looked like a toothpick. Granted, he was younger, but the 'before and afters" don't even look like the same person.
I feel the same as you with respect to McGwire. It's remarkable the way he has essentially disappeared from public view altogether rather than face the obvious shame of his actions. What a putz.

Heh. No worries. Must be the 'roid rage!
I linked to your post, but it doesn't seem to show up. Anyway... funny stuff.
Thanks for the plug RT! I see you're still updating Streanaeshealh...I'll add it to my bookmarks.
Oh yeah, I can't help posting miscellaneous fun/interesting and/or weird crap I run across in my online travels.
HI-LARIOUS. And so true. I love this.
Leaky Brain - Hey welcome to my little place, AB! It's no Leaky Brain, but you've inspired me to post random wierdness every once in a while.
BBC football commentator John Motson shares his memories of Brazil legend Socrates, who died at the weekend at the age of 57.
Socrates, who was widely regarded as one of the greatest ever midfielders, played in two World Cups, won 60 caps for his country between 1979 and 1986 and scored 22 goals.
Motson commentated on Brazil's famous match against Italy at the 1982 World Cup, widely regarded as one of the greatest games in World Cup history.
