Sandi - No kidding. The notion that a throwaway comment by a rock star would cause such grievous injury to the Vatican is laughable to begin with. What a bunch of fatuous blowhards.
Mitch Potter reported in the Star about the Church of England website suggesting they owe an apology to Charles Darwin for "misunderstanding" him, as England celebrates the 200th anniversary of his birth. Everyone cools off and becomes a little more reasonable given enough years. In a couple more centuries American evangelicals will come around too I think.
Bowler: I saw the documentary Jesus Camp last night, after I had written that sentence. Now I'm not so sure they'll ever come around. Some people are just instinctively frightened by reason.
